Responsibilities:
Trained and mentored new generations of journalists in reporting, interviewing, and editorial decision-making.
Delivered onboarding and hands-on newsroom coaching in audio/video editing, production, style, standards, and ethics.
Coordinated with RFA’s research & training department to supplement learning with specialized workshops.
Conducted a 3-month in-depth and investigative reporting training in Yangon (2017).
As Bureau Chief (2018), provided daily one-on-one coaching to strengthen reporting quality and adaptability.
Introduced digital storytelling training to local reporters, including a BBC-led intensive session.
Created pathways for journalism interns from local schools, ensuring hands-on newsroom experience.
